Our Story
Sisters Keepin It Real ("SKIR") is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to help educate, equip, empower, and elevate women on how to thrive in their everyday challenges at home, the workplace, and in leadership.
SKIR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded with the vision of fostering a strong and supportive community for women. Recognizing the unique challenges that women face in various aspects of life, SKIR was established to provide guidance, resources, and mentorship to help them navigate their personal and professional journeys with confidence and resilience.
VISION
To educate, equip, empower, and elevate women to conquer the everyday challenges faced at home, the workplace, in leadership and other areas of their lives.

MISSION
To provide tools necessary to help women sustain happy and healthy lives for themselves and their families. To offer mentorships, seminars, conferences, group therapy and many more resources to heal the total woman and strengthen them to live a productive and well-balanced life.
Pastor Karen Felton

Karen Richburg-Felton is the third child born to the late Deacon John H. Richburg, Jr., and the late Mother Oneal Watson-Richburg Chaney. Karen was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Edison Senior High c/o 1980 and furthered her education at Miami-Dade Community College North.

Karen accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1984. She joined Missionary Evangelist Center under the leadership of Apostle Johnny L. Kemp where she received the call of ministry. In 1999 Karen was ordained under the tutelage of Bishop Henry Fernandez of The Faith Center. Karen is currently under the spiritual covering of Apostle Ed Brinson of Redeeming Word Christian Center Intl.
Karen co-pastors with her husband at Living Word Christian Center International. It is here that Karen assists her husband in fulfilling the mandate of “Empowering Lives with the Word of God.” Accepting the assignment of God to nurture women, Karen gave birth to Sisters Keepin It Real (“SKIR”), a not-for-profit organization that helps to educate, equip, and empower women. Karen loves helping others and quotes, “It’s a great feeling and very rewarding to be in a position to help others overcome their challenges.”
